CATAPULT At Home On The Slopes
Appalachian Ski Mountain, located in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, has provided the southeast with exceptional local skiing since 1962. The venerable ski resort offers exceptional facilities and services including a ski shop, gift store, and clothing/equipment rental. To automate these services the management at App Ski Mtn chose CATAPULT. Seven CATAPULT terminals located throughout the resort complex provide all the automation required to keep retail operations and clothing rentals running smoothly.

What the Customer Likes Most About CATAPULT
Our yearly business is compressed into one season : November to March. And when it's busy around here, it's REALLY busy! The touch screen, easy-to-use POS interface lets cashiers quickly and accurately speed through checkouts. The faster customers can get out of the lodge and onto the slopes, the happier they are.
In the back office, CATAPULT's super fast Find and Filtering features makes locating and updating the inventory records really easy. Once we learned how powerful these tools are, we let them make easy work of managing our large merchandise data base.
Redundancy
A network failure can be a bad thing : especially during peak service times. One weekend an ECRS team member came by to see how things were going and he informed us that our terminals were running off line. We hadn't noticed because we were focusing on the customers and getting their purchases rung up. That's a GOOD thing : that even a hidden network hub coming unplugged didn't interrupt operations. When the network was back up before the end of the day, all the sales data was right where it needed to be without a hitch.
Flexible Labeling System
We prefer CATAPULT's custom bar code label printing because it enables us to meet our special buying needs by tracking items by size, style, and color. CATAPULT's data management features make this once time-consuming chore a fast and easy task.
